Introduction
TechnoFrolics (my little design workshop) some time ago developed a technology (FrameGlide software with Spin Browser™ dial) that allows moving through video at any speed, forwards and back, from stop frame to a 1,000,000 times normal rate, all with crystal clear image quality and no temporal delay or stutter.
The technology, more magical than most expect from a verbal description, immediately engages young and old, dancers and physicists alike. It is installed across the globe, in science and children's museums, aquariums, zoos, and nature centers, in both pre-produced content and live capture formats.
Additionally, the system has been used in medical education live procedure contexts, at conferences and tradeshows, at the Olympics, and within a university admissions office.
These applications however barely scratch the surface of what are obviously cool and mutually beneficial possibilities. This page was created to compile and outline other applications, with the hope that by delineating them, some may eventually come to be.
In this regard, please see our free loaner Spin Browser demo unit, which various partners have used at trade events, and prospect pitches, to significant mutual benefit.
“I made the ‘mistake’ of setting up your Spin Browser demo just outside my office. Due to its popularity, there was a constant flow of people coming by to play and chat - it made my getting any work done a nightmare! Seriously though, thanks much for sending the demo - it has been invaluable in helping our group brainstorm about potential applications to our projects.” Steve Bergeron, Director of Production, Aspen Marketing Services)

Video Producers: Have you got 10,000 hours of cool video "gathering dust" in your archives?
If yes, and if it is of such things as animal behavior, point-of-view journeys, timelapse of nature, machinery in motion, athletics, medical procedures, and the like, we have a very cool use for it.
A key feature of the system is that the longer the content is, the better, with many museum installations having over 10 hours (at 30fps equivalent) — the video becomes a dataset to explore, rather than a produced experience. So if you are a video producer who has been "pained" making cuts to reduce the content length to an hour or two — or in the case of the "typical" museum exhibit, 30 seconds to 2 minutes — we have a way for all 20 hours you wanted to include to indeed be present!
More information, along with specific exciting examples to think about, may be found in the letter I wrote to the National Geographic Society back in 2022.

High-End Leisure and Hospitality
- Hotels: Imagine a room with gorgeous view, where adjacent to the window is an elegant wall-mounted interactive artwork that allows occupants to explore an entire year's view out the same window right to the present moment — to see changing seasons, light and shadow of the day, clouds and storms, visiting animals, and more. (See live capture installation at the Garden of the Gods visitor center, to get some idea of this.)
- Yachts: Imagine dual underwater and on-deck cameras, allowing yacht owners and guests to see rare ocean animals, above and below sea level, experience point-of-view journeys where the yacht has traversed in their sleep, experience waves and storms over the last year, and more.

Misc
- Sports bars and stadiums: Broadcast-level user-controlled instant replay utilizing the technology's live capture capabilities.
- Packaging industry press release.
- Food: It turns out that the preparing and cooking of food is a lot cooler than one might expect. (Did you know that bacon shrinks very non-linearly with time during cooking?)
